Welcome to Simpkins Auto Care and our NEW and Revised website.

With the recent addition on our premises, we hope to succeed at exceeding your expectations...with our EXPANSION. We are now Southern Solano County’s largest Collision Repair and Auto Care Center.

History and Background
Established in 1983 by owner William “Bill” Simpkins, the original idea was to have a place to work outside of the home, a hobby shop. With Bill’s wide experience working for many shops in Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda counties, understanding what is expected by the customer and the specifics of running day to day operations, was mandatory to keep ahead in the business.

After several moves, we located here at 980 Adams St in the historic Benicia Arsenal. In 2005, we increased our shop floor space by 20% and working area another 40%.

From our beginning, with the backing of the local Autobody Association, we have been vigorously involved in many issues. One was getting the I-Car Training Program for our technicians. With better educated employees, the men are safer and automobiles are repaired to tried and true crash standards.

You have the right to choose the shop of your choice! Enacted in January 2001, Senate Bill 1988 states that the consumer has the right to pick their own show to perform collision repairs.

It also states, "An insurance company may not require the repairs be done at any specific repair shop". That's right, "may not" or more importantly, can not insist you use their preferred facility. This is a breakthrough for consumer rights. And getting more than one estimate from an insurance company, NEVER WAS A LAW! So choosing a quality shop over 2nd best has never been easier!

This bill also requires your insurance company to provide you with the "Auto Body Repair Consumer Bill of Rights."
